Safeway readies My CFL Family contest

Grocery store chain Safeway is preparing a promotion called “My CFL Family” in association with the Canadian Football League. The contest promotion will begin on July 25. Consumers will be invited to enter weekly draws for prize packages consisting of four regular season football game tickets, CFL-branded merchandise and Safeway gift cards. Two grand prize winners will receive family trips to the 2019 Grey Cup championship game in Calgary in November. Consumers will be entered into the contest when they make a purchase at a Safeway store using an Air Miles loyalty program card. Safeway is a subsidiary of Sobeys of Stellarton, NS.
“After more than two decades supporting western Canada’s sports teams and football related contests, we wanted to take it to the next level for our customers through this CFL partnership,” said Sandra Sanderson, senior vice-president of marketing at Sobeys. “Safeway customers are true Canadian football fans, and this partnership will allow us to provide our customers and their families with iconic Canadian experiences, while also deepening our support for Canadian football and the CFL.”
