German firearms manufacturer Walther Arms has signed an agreement with Toronto-based augmented reality company NexTech AR Solutions to develop three-dimensional models of its product line for the purposes of electronic commerce. Approximately 25 Walther products will be modeled for use on the company’s website, in online advertisements and in its mobile application.
“This technology will give our customers a new way to interact with our products before and after their purchase,” said Cody Osborn, marketing manager at Walther Arms. “Walther products feature many details in machining and quality, and the 3D representation will allow the customer to clearly see the differences in our product when compared to the competition.”
