Canadian Animal Health Institute begins tick awareness campaign

The Canadian Animal Health Institute of Guelph, ON has begun a promotion called “National Tick Awareness Month” in association with the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and Merck Animal Health. The initiative will run through March and will seek to raise awareness of tick behavior and the risks posed by the insects to pets. The promotion includes a website at <http://www.ticktalkcanada.com> which provides information for pet owners about tick control. It also offers a series of online videos addressing 12 common questions about ticks.
