Pecker quits Postmedia board

David Pecker has resigned from the boards of directors of Postmedia Network Canada and Postmedia Network. According to a statement from the company, he plans to focus on his other business interests. Pecker is the chairman and CEO of American Media, which publishes the National Enquirer, Star, Sun, Weekly World News and other properties. According to reports, Pecker has recently been granted immunity by federal prosecutors in the United States in exchange for cooperation with their investigation of Michael Cohen, former lawyer of Donald Trump. He joined the Postmedia board in 2016.
