Jekyll&Hyde debuts new agency

Jekyll&Hyde Group of Toronto has launched a new marketing agency called Jekyll&Hyde Brand Builders that will specialize in the cannabis industry. The new unit will encompass three firms recently acquired by the company: ReBoot Consulting Group, Cherp and Brand Deviance Marketing and Design. Its services will include brand strategy, public relations, social media activities, digital initiatives, mobile development and analytics.

The new agency will be headed by CEO Kerry Harris, COO Jayne Beckwith and chief creative officer Luvlina Sanghera. Harris was previously president of Weber Shandwick in Canada. Beckwith was previously a partner at mobile application developer Cherp and the principal of ReBoot. Sanghera was most recently the founder and creative head of Brand Deviance.

"Our point of difference in the agency world is our business model and also our deep expertise in the sector," said Harris. "Both our chairman and CCO have been active in deal flow, brand building and operations in cannabis in the US and Canada for the past three years and have deep product knowledge, a keen grasp of the regulatory and compliance frameworks and first hand experience in building cannabis brands. Most of the marketing agencies in Canada that we are starting to see pop up have little or no working experience in this sector and that's where we are very, very different."
