Copia Group expands into Canada
Copia Group, a communication and lifestyle management company based in Dubai, has expanded into Canada by opening an office in Toronto. Copia specializes in communications and brand representation for clients seeking to enter the Middle East market. Its clients include Bagatelle, Blue Marlin Ibiza, De Grisigono, Burberry, Cut by Wolfgang Puck, Ethan Allen, Sandro, Maje, Chopard, Novikov, Opera Gallery and Huvafen Fushi.
The Toronto office will be headed by Sherry Boisvert, previously a vice-president at Narrative PR, Citizen Relations and National Public Relations. She will be supported by Dubai-based Rania El Sadek and Katherine Raso. According to the firm, it is the first agency in Dubai to establish an office outside of the Middle East.
"Copia's position has always been one of 'local presence, global network' and we felt the time was right to strengthen that even further with an office in Toronto," said agency founder El Sadek. "It's a vibrant city in the heart of Canada and, with our expertise and connections on an international level, it made sense for us to make the move and expand to a second home."
