Isthmus begins 120 Challenge
Toronto-based charitable organization Isthmus has begun a promotion called the "120 Challenge" in collaboration with professional basketball player Cory Joseph. The charity works to combat child hunger by giving participating children backpacks of food to take home on weekends.
During the promotion, consumers who donate $120 to Isthmus will be entered into a draw for a trip for two to Toronto to watch Joseph play in an NBA game at Air Canada Centre. The contest will run until Nov. 16.
"We are thrilled to have Cory lend his star status to this event," said Isthmus CEO Adam Markwell. "Most Canadians don't realize that food insecurity impacts one in five children in Canada, so for every backpack we fill, we feed a child on the weekend for an entire year."
