Canadian Nuclear Association debuts new website

The Ottawa-based Canadian Nuclear Association has launched a new website at <http://www.ontariosnuclearadvantage.com> intended to inform the public and members of government about the benefits of nuclear power to the province. The new site is timed coincide with the $25 billion refurbishment programs at the Darlington and Bruce Power nuclear stations and the extension of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station to 2024.
"When it comes to providing reliable, low-cost, clean power with jobs and world-class innovation, nuclear power provides us with a significant advantage and is the right choice for Ontarians," said CNA president John Barrett. "Nuclear is a key part of Ontario's long-term, low-carbon energy system. Together, Ontario's three nuclear generating stations provide 10 million homes with electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 30 per cent below the average cost of clean electricity in Ontario."
