Canadian Ski Council joins in ski lesson record attempt

The Canadian Ski Council will participate today in a promotional effort intended to set a new Guinness World Record for the world's largest ski and snowboard lesson. The event will involve participants at 70 ski facilities in Canada and 78 locations in the United States to simultaneously take a skiing lesson. The organization expects approximately 850 beginner skiers and snowboarders in Canada to participate via a special offer called "Never Ever Days," which includes equipment rental, a lift ticket and a one-hour lesson for a discounted price. The promotion also includes a website at <http://www.nevereverdays.com>.

Additional organizations participating in the record attempt will include the Learn to Ski and Snowboard Initiative, the National Ski Areas Association, the Professional Ski Instructors of America, SnowSports Industries America, and Snow Operating.
