Ben & Jerry's begins Toronto promotion with Urbery

Ice cream company Ben & Jerry's has begun a promotion in Toronto in association with grocery delivery service Urbery. During the campaign, called "Dough To Door," the service will offer same-day delivery of pints of three ice cream flavours: Half Baked, Cookie Dough and Tonight Dough. Visitors to the Ben & Jerry's Facebook page will be invites to engage with a Facebook Messenger chatbot to place an order for delivery.

"Direct to consumer purchasing is one of the leading trends in the grocery space," said Urbery founder Mudit Rawat. "As online shopping evolves in the marketplace customers expect short wait times, and brands are exceedingly interested in creating an ecosystem that sells and delivers product directly to their customers."

Both Urbery and Ben & Jerry's are subsidiaries of Unilever.
