United Nations Refugee Agency begins campaign

The Geneva-based United Nations Refugee Agency has begun an international campaign called "Nobody Left Outside" intended to raise funds for the provision of shelters to two million refugees over the next three years. The campaign, which is intended to encourage private donations, is aimed at individuals, companies, foundations and philanthropists. The effort includes a website at <http://www.nobodyleftoutside.org>.

"There is an important role for the private sector with its know-how, energy and money to act in a spirit of solidarity to shelter refugees from war and persecution," said Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees. "We must find better ways of peacefully integrating refugees into our host communities. Proper shelter for everyone is central to social cohesion. Good homes make good neighbours."
