Metro Cash & Carry retains Ariad Communications

Ariad Communications of Toronto recently conducted a content development initiative for wholesaling company Metro Cash & Carry, based in Dusseldorf, Germany. The initiative is aimed primarily at entrepreneurial customers such as hotels and independent retailers and uses the tagline, "Champion of Independent Business." It launched in Russia in late June and is currently rolling out in France, the Czech Republic, Turkey and China.

"Metro partnered with Ariad to develop a global content strategy that would enable them to enhance their customer experience and optimize their marketing budgets to grow their business," said Mark Michaud, head of strategy at Ariad. "When you are operating across 28 different countries, it's imperative to stay true to one global brand, but customize your content strategy for the cultural and market realities of each country."
