Owl Magazine readies redesign

Owl Magazine of Toronto will introduce a redesign with its September issue. The modifications will include a new visual style and editorial approach. Owl Magazine, published by Bayard Canada, is aimed primarily at children between the ages of nine and 13. According to the publication, the relaunch will follow the tagline, "discover, explore, engage and inspire." Visual changes will include a new logo and mascot.

"STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics to help teach and inspire students," said Jennifer Canham, group publisher of Owlkids. "Innovation is driving the future, and by using STEAM to develop our content we're encouraging our readers to learn through creation and discovery."

The magazine will accompany the relaunch with a national promotion called the "Out-of-this-World Contest. The winner will receive a family trip to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
