Young Drivers of Canada conducts winter driving contest

Toronto-based Young Drivers of Canada has begun a contest promotion in support of its winter driving training program. The contest, called "My Funniest or Worst Winter Driving Story," encourages residents of Toronto to submit a video or written account of a winter driving story via Facebook or Twitter. Twelve winners will receive winter driving training packages. In addition, every entrant will receive access to an online winter driving tutorial. The contest will run until Jan. 29.

"I have been training drivers of all ages for over 25 years and the fact is that people are just plain scared to drive in the winter," said Angelo DiCicco, Greater Toronto Area manager at Young Drivers of Canada. "I hear it all the time and people can relate to this feeling. The Young Drivers team wanted to give Torontonians a way to connect and share their winter driving stories and have a chance to win the new winter driving package our driving experts put together.  It's a new year and this contest is a way to make winter driving fears a thing of the past."
