COMPUSERVE INTRODUCES PACKAGE DEAL
By Adnews Staff
CompuServe of Columbus, Ohio introduced new software this week that gives access to the on-line service and the Internet in one package. Called CompuServe 3.0, the program is available to members using the 32-bit Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems. It features improved navigation using common words, tabs and a Web-like environment, and a "To Do" list which lets users save time by identifying tasks in different areas of the service to be performed automatically at a later time or at the end of a session. There are new ways to tailor the service and a new filing cabinet search feature that locates e-mail, Forum area messages, articles, news stories and other items by date, date range, subject, sender, contributor or full text search. The software is available by request from members. In Canada, CompuServe 3.0 is being promoted using PR done by Heather Reid & Associates of Toronto.
