Match Marketing Group buys Convergence Marketing

Match Marketing Group of Toronto has acquired retail merchandising agency Convergence Marketing, based in Baltimore, MD. The company specializes in merchandising activities for cosmetics and beauty product firms. Its clients include Procter & Gamble and L'Oreal. It also offers in-store services for product categories including candy, gift cards and apparel.

"We have long respected Convergence Marketing for its ability to create top retail programs and we are delighted that they will contribute to what we offer our clients," said Brett Farren, CEO of Match. "There is no agency in North America that can do what Convergence does when it comes to implementing brand visual presentation on the store floor. Convergence is simply the best at what they do. The success of our end-to-end shopper marketing concept has allowed us to double in size and provides us with the ability to take a client's brand from concept through the path to purchase and final sale on a North American basis."

In the last year, Match Marketing Group has also purchased Action Marketing of Boulder, Marketing Drive of Boston, Marketing Weld Digital of Norwalk, CT and SVM Marketing of Montreal as part of an ongoing expansion of its retail marketing capabilities.
