HockeyNow readies redesign

Vancouver-based HockeyNow magazine will introduce a redesign later this month to coincide with the publication's 15th anniversary. The print magazine will feature a new layout size, visual style and paper quality. New content will include longer feature stories and expanded coverage of various events. The publication's digital version and its social media pages are also being redesigned. The online version will offer easier access to daily content, tournament and hockey school listings and hotel finder. Visitors will also be able to register at the site to receive weekly email newsletters and enter contests. "The launch of our upgraded platforms will mark a new era of HockeyNow," said publisher Larry Feist. "Since the inception of HockeyNow, our purpose has always been to promote and grow the game by aligning with partners, sponsors, and other influential hockey ambassadors in North America. The launch of our newly-designed properties will strengthen our position as the number one go-to source for coverage of minor and junior hockey and topics dedicated to growing and promoting the game we love." The first issue of the redesigned magazine will be distributed in hockey arenas and sports retailers in BC, Alberta and Ontario beginning on Aug. 31.
