ENGINEER GROUP TO ADVERTISE FOR THE FIRST TIME
By Adnews Staff
Professional Engineers of Ontario will launch its first campaign ever in mid-September and has chosen TV as its medium. The ad uses 30 different images to show how engineering affects our everyday lives. The organization chose TV because "we felt it was the most powerful, and because of the visual nature of what engineers do, it fit well with the campaign we came up with," PR manager Virginia Brown told Adnews last week. The second phase of the campaign will begin in the winter and will likely use print and a Web site. Advertising for the organization is done by Freeman, Rogers, Battaglia of Toronto. Professional Engineers is the regulatory body for engineers in Ontario. It has 60,000 members.
