San Diego-based online radio company Slacker has signed-on as the title sponsor of Canadian Music Week. The event, which will take place in Toronto from March 21 to 25, will now be called Slacker Canadian Music Week. The festival will feature approximately 900 musical artists from 40 countries playing in 60 venues. Leading up to the event, Slacker Radio will introduce a number of Canadian music stations, including stations programmed and hosted by artists playing the festival and another featuring highlights from previous events. "We're going to help produce a unique and exciting experience for Slacker Canadian Music Week," said Jonathan Sasse, senior vice-president of marketing at Slacker. "The event is an amazing opportunity to engage with fans and artists as we expand our service throughout Canada."
