GREEN LINE LAUNCHES NET SECURITIES TRADING
By Adnews Staff
Toronto Dominion Bank's Green Line Investor Services is now offering security trading over the Internet. Using WebBroker, the technology allows investors to buy and sell North American equities and options over the information highway. Currently in a pilot phase, the program will be launched nationally this fall. Touted as one of the most secure trading technologies, WebBroker has been further enhanced by Green Line which has set up a super "firewall" that protects the main information storage system at TD Bank and Green Line. WebBroker allows orders to be placed instantly on-line, provides access to account information, a portfolio review and a transaction history, and gives real-time quotes for all major North American equities and options. Mutual fund trading and quotes will be available by the end of the year. A national print campaign promoting the service will be launched in the fall. Gee, Jeffery and Partners Advertising Inc. of Toronto creates ads for Green Line.
