Intercity Broadcasting Network readies Toronto radio station

The CRTC has confirmed an earlier decision to award a licence for a Toronto radio station to Intercity Broadcasting Network. The commission awarded the licence to Intercity in 2006 on the condition that it find a broadcast frequency. Intercity has now obtained authorisation to use 98.7 FM and is preparing to launch the station. The station will be aimed at Toronto's Caribbean and African communities.
