A&P QUIT ORANGE JUICE BUSINESS
By Adnews Staff
Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of New York has resigned from the Florida Department of Citrus ad account after only five months on the job. The agency said it quit because of relationship and creative problems. Department of Citrus officials were unavailable to comment on whether it will do a new agency search or choose one of the agencies from the previous short list, or to say who will handle Canadian advertising. Agencies in the running in the previous review were: Ammirati, Grey Advertising of New York, the Richards Group of Dallas and West Wayne of Tampa, Florida. Ammirati took the account over from Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of New York. When Saatchi had the account, its Toronto office handled Canadian advertising for the department.
