CULTURES CAPITALIZES ON ROYAL FAMILY RIFT
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Cultures Restaurants will be launching an ad campaign next week centered around the impending divorce of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The ads, which feature Cultures' Smoothie shakes, will be seen on mall posters and transit shelters across Ontario, as well as in Halifax, where Cultures has one restaurant. With a caricature of Prince Charles behind one of the shakes, the headline reads "You can never be too rich, or too thick", referring to his wealth and perceived intelligence. A subsequent caption reads "Looking for a royal indulgence? Few Smoothies are as rich and thick as our original yogurt and fresh fruit shake." The ad is one of ten in a year-long campaign created by Graphic Workshop Studios of Mississauga, Ont.
