Canadian Club Whisky Hide A Case Adventure to continue

Beam Global Spirits & Wine has begun a contest promotion in support of Canadian Club Whisky aimed at consumers in Canada and the US. The initiative picks-up a promotion for the brand that first began 40 years ago, during which consumers attempted to find hidden cases of the whisky. "At least two dozen cases of Canadian Club Whisky were hidden around the world as part of the brand's hugely popular 'Hide A Case Adventure,' starting in 1967," says Dorene Wharton, marketing director at Beam Global Canada. "Not all of the cases have been found, and we're thrilled to reactivate this exciting campaign by inviting those with a penchant for adventure to join the hunt for one of the undiscovered cases and the chance to win $100,000." Television personality Kevin Brauch will lead a group of four Canadians and four Americans to an undisclosed location in April 2011, where they will attempt to locate one of  the missing cases. The eight participants will be selected through an online contest at <http://www.hideacase.com>. In the first round of the competition, registered participants will attempt to earn points by completing various challenges. Those who earn enough points will continue to the second round, during which they must submit a video explaining why they should get one of the eight spots. Public voting and a judging panel will then determine the final eight. At the unknown location, the finalists will compete in another series of challenges in an attempt to find the case of whisky.
