Irish Connections Canada debuts
By Adnews Staff
A new magazine called Irish Connections Canada has launched in Toronto, aimed at the four million residents of Canada who are of Irish heritage. The publication takes the place of the former Toronto Irish News. It will be distributed on newsstands, at Irish community clubs, as well as in pubs and restaurants nationally. The magazine will cover national and international issues, as well as stories of Irish Canadians. "It may seem counter-intuitive to be launching a new publication at this time, but the Irish community in Canada is growing and evolving to the extent that members of the community are both highly influential as well as interested in re-connecting with elements of their heritage that will be the focus of Irish Connections Canada," said publisher Eamonn O'Loghlin. "Our community is literally spread from coast to coast and we wanted to connect the dots and provide a forum for all the yarns to be heard."
