Travel Industry Council of Ontario breaks new campaign

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario has begun a rebranding campaign intended to raise consumer awareness of the organization and its function as a watchdog of the travel industry. The campaign, developed by Larter Advertising of Toronto, consists of television, transit and online advertising. The creative features a border terrier spokescharacter named Tico. The ads encourage viewers to visit the new TICO.ca website, constructed by Silverback Media. "We really wanted to reach out to consumers to let them know we're here to help," said Michael Pepper, CEO and president of the council. "Our job is to help protect and educate Ontario consumers while also overseeing the registered travel agencies."
