Shier becomes president of Naked

Toronto-based Naked Creative Consultancy has appointed Peter Shier president. Shier, who has also become a partner in the company, has spent the last seven years at FCB (now DraftFCB). For his first five years there he was president of FCB Toronto. Later he was vice-chairman of FCB Canada. Prior to that he was a partner in Russell Design. He has also worked at JWT, Cossette, Vickers and Benson, Timothy's World Coffee and the Toronto Argonaut Football Club. He also spent six years as a professional hockey player. "Peter brings to Naked something which we've not had before, which is a senior level executive with an immense knowledge of the business, a track record of success, a well connected and highly respected member of the industry and proven experience beyond traditional advertising," said agency partner Marc Giacomelli. "We think he will help Naked grow and continue to fill a void in the marketplace."
