Staples Business Depot readies holiday campaign

Toronto-based office supply retailer Staples Business Depot will begin a new marketing campaign on Nov. 19 called "That Holiday was Easy." The campaign will consist of television, online and direct mail advertising promoting the chain as a place to buy technology gifts. Radio commercials will be added on Nov. 26. The 30- and 15-second television commercials are made in the style of a holiday season movie. The campaign was developed by McCann Erickson. "Our holiday marketing campaign reminds our customers that we stock a large assortment of the most popular technology items like GPS navigation devices, digital cameras, MP3 players, digital photo frames and laptops," said Lori Ross, vice president of marketing, at Staples Business Depot. "Our customers are already familiar with our easy shopping experience, and low prices, but we want them to know we’re a great place to find holiday gifts for the entire family, too."
