McClelland & Stewart begins Quest for the Ice Fox promotion

Toronto-based publisher McClelland & Stewart has begun a contest promotion in support of a book called Frozen Thames by Helen Humphreys. The online contest, called "Quest for the Ice Fox," is located at <http://www.questfortheicefox.com>. Players will receive clues through Facebook.com and then use Google Maps to attempt to locate the Ice Fox. The first clue was release yesterday. One clue will be distributed each week for eight weeks. The first player to submit the correct location of the Ice Fox will receive a $2,000 travel voucher. "We knew that if this unique book was going to catch the attention of the young Web reader, then we would need something more innovative and exciting than we ever considered or even imagined before," said Susan Renouf, chief operating officer of the company.
