The Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club, which competes in the United Soccer League, has begun a new advertising campaign to promote the start of its 2007 season. The campaign, developed by Publicis Vancouver, consists of ads in major daily newspapers, posters in restaurants and bars, transit advertising and three 30-second radio commercials. The creative makes use of visuals designed to convey the technical skill of the team’s players. “Publicis has elevated the look and feel of this year’s creative and made it more inspirational,” said Bob Lenarduzzi, president of the Whitecaps. “It definitely captures the essence of elite caliber soccer and communicates what we know we can deliver to our fans.”
