The Ontario Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship debuted its website yesterday, located at <http://www.sbe.gov.on.ca>. The site offer content aimed at small businesses in the province, including regulatory proposals, information about Small Business Enterprise Centres at which an owner can meet with a business consultant, and information about the province’s Youth Entrepreneurship Partnership program “The new ministry's website provides entrepreneurs with access to all of the tools and information the ministry has to offer in one convenient location,” said Minster Harinder Takhar. The Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship was created in May.
Parenting website KiddingAroundToronto.com has undergone a redesign intended to enhance its navigation system and add new features. The new site includes an events calendar, contests, feature articles, reviews, advice and a chat area aimed at parents in the Greater Toronto Area.
Podcast.com of Boston has constructed a new area of its site to track Canadian podcasts. The service, located at <http://canada.podcast.com>, encompasses audio and video podcasts created by both amateurs and media outlets such as the CBC. “Canadians were quick to adopt podcasting and recognize it as a medium that will spawn great change within all media,” said Podcast.com CEO Scott Beatty. “Canadian podcasters set the bar high for the podcasting not only as a community media model, but for the mainstream.”
