Canadian Geographic readies special travel issues
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Canadian Geographic Enterprises will increase the publishing frequency of Canadian Geographic magazine to eight issues per year in order to add two themed issues to be called Canadian Geographic Travel. The first two of these special issues will be published in November 2006 and May 2007. “You could say we have been preparing the terrain because everything we do in Canadian Geographic excites reader interest in travel,” said editor-in-chief Rick Boychuk. “For the last seven years, we have also produced the Travel & Adventure digest. The new magazine will have all of the finest qualities of the two publications combined. We won't simply excite each reader's interest, but will move them to act on the dreams our stories inspire.” Canadian Geographic Travel will also have a companion website located within CanadianGeographic.ca.
