BC Lions promote home opener

The BC Lions football team will conduct a street promotion from June 12 to 15 to generate interest in the team’s home opening game on June 16. A group of promotional workers called the BC Lions Helmet Team will be present at high-traffic areas of downtown Vancouver during the morning and evening commuting periods as well as lunch times. The workers, who will wear orange shirts and team football helmets, will invite pedestrians to the game. They will also play catch with passers-by, ask team trivia questions and distribute prizes. The promotion is being handled by Inventa of Vancouver.
