Intel begins contest with Entertainment Tonight Canada

Intel of Canada has begun a contest promoting its Centrino Mobile Duo microchip in association with television show Entertainment Tonight Canada. The contest, called "Celebrity Boot Camp," began yesterday and will run until April 23. The contest is being promoted with a 30-second ad featuring Rick Campanelli, host of the show. The ad, which is running on Global Television and Prime, directs viewers to watch Entertainment Tonight Canada for a quiz called "We test your Intel EQ," which will take the place of the show's regular "Test your EQ" feature for the duration of promotion. Viewers who enter the contest can win one of four weekly Intel prize packages worth approximately $7,000 each. "Intel wanted to show consumers how easy it can be to take their entertainment on the go," said Nancy Demerling, marketing manager at Intel of Canada. "Working with Entertainment Canada provided a great opportunity to demonstrate that."
