Sponsorship roundup

Toronto-based clothing retailer Harry Rosen has signed on as the title sponsor of a charity run that will raise funds for prostate cancer research. The event, to be called Harry's Spring Run-Off to Fight Prostate Cancer, will take place in Toronto on April 8. The entry fees of the first 2,500 runners will be donated to the research program at the Princess Margaret Hospital. The event will also include a Corporate Challenge, in which teams of 10 will compete for group prizes including executive medical testing from Medisys and Harry Rosen gift cards. The event will be promoted with a marketing campaign including advertising in the Globe and Mail, billboard and transit shelter ads in the Greater Toronto Area, and in-store materials at Harry Rosen locations. HSBC Bank Canada will be the presenting sponsor of the event. Other sponsors include Marsh Risk Management, Medisys, the Globe and Mail and Viacom Outdoor.
Toronto-based law firm Ogilvy Renault has renewed its sponsorship of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for a third year. The agreement includes the Ogilvy Renault Conductors' Podium program. "Ogilvy Renault has been a magnificent supporter of the TSO for the past two years, and I'm thrilled they are back for the third season. This is a unique sponsorship, specifically geared at attracting some of the world's finest conductors to lead our great Orchestra," said music director Peter Oundjian.
