Global Television prepares national outdoor campaign

Global Television will begin a new national advertising campaign next week to promote its new brand image. The outdoor campaign will begin on Feb. 5. The creative will make use of quotes from various primetime characters and news personalities seen on the network. The initiative will also make use of newspaper, radio and on-air advertising. According to the company, this will be the largest national campaign to date for Global Television, with a goal of generating 1.2 billion impressions over a four-week period. "We are introducing a whole new Global," said Walter Levitt, senior vice-president of marketing for television and radio at CanWest MediaWorks. "We're confident that the magnitude and message of this campaign will resonate with consumers, and play a dynamic role in connecting them with our re-energized Global brand." The new brand image includes a redesigned logo and an updated on-air visual identity. The new image will be introduced on Feb. 5.
