Sandwich chain Quiznos Sub of Mississauga has begun a new advertising campaign to promote its 10th anniversary in Canada and the introduction of lower prices for all of its menu items. The campaign, created by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto, includes radio and television advertising, plus direct mail. The media buy is valued at five million dollars, making this the largest Canadian campaign in the company's history, according to the firm. Television advertising will run until Feb. 19, while the radio component will run until March 12. The campaign will be national, excluding Quebec. "The strategy behind our advertising campaign is simple. Lower the prices, and tell everyone about it," said Greg MacDonald, president of Quiznos. Quiznos Sub has 400 stores in Canada.
