Air Canada promotes New York flights in Alberta

Air Canada is readying a promotion for its new daily non-stop service from Calgary to New York. The initiative, called "Broadway Getaway," will be conducted in association with CanWest MediaWorks. The campaign, which will break on Feb. 6, will run in various CanWest newspapers, television stations and online services in Calgary and Edmonton. It was created by Marketel Communications. The advertising will direct consumers to a website at <http://www.aircanada.com/ny> to enter a draw for one of six trips to New York, including airfare, accommodation and tickets to a Broadway show. This is the third time the airline has used CanWest for such a promotion. "Air Canada's success with the last two partnerships exceeded our expectations and the logical step was to go back for more," said Nathalie Lajoie, director of tactical services at Marketel.
