Cundari of Toronto has received a North American advertising assignment from fast food chain Subway. The initiative will promote the launch a new sandwich that will be introduced in February. Cundari won the assignment in a competitive pitch process that began in November. An unknown number of additional North American agencies used by Subway also participated in this process. Cundari is Subway's agency of record for seven markets in Ontario. This is the firm's first continent-wide project for the chain. "Cundari proved that they were on strategy with Subway's new product messaging," said Matt Scott, a representative of the Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust. "Cundari has demonstrated a clear understanding of the QSR industry and the retail franchisee environment by providing sound marketing communication solutions." Cundari will develop television and radio commercials that will air in some North American markets, along with in-store materials for all markets.
