Educ'alcool begins moderation awareness campaign
By Adnews Staff
Non-profit organization Éduc'alcool began its seasonal greeting card campaign on Friday with a promotional event intended to make consumers in Quebec more aware of the importance of moderate alcohol consumption. The event took the form of a simulated demonstration in Montreal. Fifty promotional workers took part in the initiative, which began at Dorchester Square and proceeded to Sainte-Catherine Street and Philips Square. The participants carried signs and a banner reading "No to over-consumption." They also distributed greeting cards to pedestrians and chanted slogans such as "Down with over-indulgence" and "Let's resist excess." Approximately one million cards will be distributed by the organization in Quebec during the campaign through 2,000 displays in restaurants, coffee shops, bars and stores around the province. The cards and an accompanying poster were created by Bleublancrouge. The event was organized by Wasabi Communications Interactive. Public relations were handled by HKDP Communications.
