Red Bull assigns media account to PHD

Energy drink maker Red Bull Canada of Toronto has retained PHD Canada to handle media planning and buying in this country. Three other unidentified agencies were also considered for the assignment. "We chose PHD for their strategic thinking, their sensibilities of the Red Bull brand and their strength and depth in both English and French Canada," said Jim Bailey, vice-president of marketing at Red Bull Canada. PHD will service the account from its Montreal office, TouchéPHD.
