Teletoon conducts four joint promotions

Toronto-based specialty station Teletoon has begun four new joint promotions this week. The first is in association with MGA Entertainment in support of its Bratz line of toys. This effort, aimed at girls aged six to twelve, consists of an online contest tied to an animated television series featuring the brand's characters. The winner will receive a Bratz bedroom makeover. The promotion will run until Nov. 13. General Mills has begun an online promotion will Teletoon in support of its Fruit Roll-Ups product. The initiative includes a game at Teletoon.com and a draw for a prize package consisting of one week of limousine rides to and from school, maid service for the winner's bedroom, a collection of Tengamo character pieces, $500 in cash and a Sony PSP video game machine. The contest will be promoted during Teletoon's Halloween season programming. Spin Master and Four Kids Entertainment have begun an online scavenger hunt with the station to promote its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys. Entrants can win one of ten packages of toys. Janes Family Foods is also conducting an online draw to promote a product called Janes Chicken Nuggets. One hundred winners will receive a copy of the Disney Pixar Toy Story 10th Anniversary DVD. Teletoon is owned by Astral Media, Corus Entertainment and Cookie Jar Entertainment.
