Broadbandtv debuts Internet television service
By Adnews Staff
Broadbandtv of Vancouver has introduced a new subscription-based service that will deliver television on demand to customers nationally using a broadband Internet connection. Customers will receive a set-top box that will connect between a television and an Internet connection, allowing the user to download pay-per-view and free content. The device can also store 200 hours of programming. This programming includes short films, news, sports, health shows, music, music videos, movie trailers, cartoons, language and cooking classes, as well as programs about travel, wine, history and other subjects. The various programs, which amount to "thousands of hours," according to the company, are divided into 75 channels and accessed through an on-screen guide.
