New general manager at Toronto 1

Don Gaudet has been appointed general manager of programming at television station Toronto 1. He will take over the position on April 25. Gaudet was most recently vice-president of specialty programming at Global Television. In addition to other senior programming positions at Global, he has also worked as director of programming at ITV, CICT, RDTV and CISA. Toronto 1 is owned and operated by TVA Group.
