SOFTWARE COMPANY HIRES AD SHOP

Blockade Systems Corp. of Toronto is using an agency for the first time. The company hired Campbell & Partners Communications of Toronto last month to handle advertising for its computer security software. The company decided to hire an agency because "our business has progressed to the point we felt we needed one," sales and marketing manager Joe Goldberg told Adnews last week. In the past, advertising was handled in-house with the help of freelancers. Campbell & Partners got the business because an owner of the company knew a person in the agency, Goldberg said.
