Monster.ca releases new commercial

Job-hunting website Monster.ca released a new television commercial during the Feb. 27 broadcast of the Academy Awards on CTV. The ad, which aired four times during the program, was created specifically for the awards show. The 60-second ad, called "Twins," presents the life story of identical twin brothers. It was created by Bos Advertising of Montreal. "The Oscars show is always a special annual event for viewers and we think our ad will be one of those memorable spots that will create a buzz about us," said Marc-Andre Chaput, director of communications at Monster.ca. "The story reflects Monster.ca's commitment to helping the right employers and candidates find each other." The commercial is the first in a series of new initiatives intended to promote the brand in Canada in 2005, according to Monster.ca. Upcoming marketing efforts will include print and local radio ads, along with online promotions.
