Traction develops brand identity for Tourism Vancouver

Traction Creative Communications of Vancouver has developed a new brand identity for Tourism Vancouver. The work, intended to "revitalize" the brand for the next decade, aims for uniqueness, clarity, legibility and a more dynamic look and feel. Rather than use images of the city, the mountains or the ocean, Traction hung the identity from the letter "V" in the word Vancouver. According to the agency, the letter "speaks equally and eloquently of the cultural and natural dimensions of the city." "We believe they have come up with a look and feel that shows Vancouver's personality and sets us apart, a brand that is bold and spectacular that will leave a lasting impression just as our city does," said Rick Antonson, president of Tourism Vancouver.
