Manulife Financial readies FlexCare television initiative

Toronto-based Northern Lights Direct Response Television has created two television commercials for Manulife Financial. The 60- and 120-second ads promote a consumer health insurance plan called FlexCare. This is the third campaign Northern Lights has created for Manulife in four years. "Direct response commercials have proven very successful for us in the past," said Bob Doyle, director of direct to consumer marketing at Manulife. "We wanted a new DRTV campaign not only to advertise the benefits of FlexCare, but also to inform Canadians that Manulife Financial has taken ownership of Maritime Life." The campaign will break nationally on Jan. 17. Media buying is being handled by Media Buying Services.
