UNILEVER CONDUCTS CARB ZONE PROMOTION AT CINEPLEX THEATRES

Unilever Canada held a number of events called "Carb Zone Girls' Night" at Cineplex Odeon movie theatres last night to promote a product called Carb Zone Bars by Slim-Fast. Receptions and private screenings of the film "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" took place in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal for the winners of a contest that began in September. During September and October, promotional workers distributed samples of the bars to women in 23 theatres nationally. A campaign of print, radio and theatre advertising directed women to enter the contest through a Web site at <http://www.carbzone.ca>. "This is a really innovative and creative marketing campaign that has already been very well received by our target market judging by the thousands of hits the Web site has received," said Paul Bolte, vice-president of cinema marketing sales for Cineplex Galaxy.
