CORBY DISTILLERIES RELEASES NEW CANADIAN CLUB ADVERTISING

Toronto-based Corby Distilleries has begun a new television advertising campaign for Canadian Club whisky. The TV creative was developed by Goodgoll Vendramin, also of Toronto. It includes three 15-second spots. Each spot features a glass full of ice beside a bottle of Canadian Club. A hand reaches into the scene and a finger rubs the glass's rim producing a high-pitched ring. The glass is then filled with Canadian Club and the finger again rubs the glass's rim. This time the ring becomes a tune. According to the agency, the technique is used in all three spots to convey general, seasonal and promotional messages. The campaign is targeting 19+ viewers. Advertising is scheduled to run until early December.
